The Museum of Art and Culture yapang is offering guided and self-guided exhibition tours throughout our popular exhibition FIRST CLASS 24

FIRST CLASS 24

This highly anticipated exhibition has built a strong reputation as a place where ideas, beliefs and creativity intersect.

The students represent schools from Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and the Hunter, and their work reflects the scope and depth of the NSW HSC Visual Arts syllabus.

Each year participants create artworks that explore their world and position themselves within it.

Tour Schedule:

• Tuesday - 9:00am, 10:30, 12:00 and1:30pm
• Wednesday - 9:00am, 12:00 and 1:30pm
• Thursday - 9:00am, 10:30, 12:00 and 1:30pm
  
  Booking information:

Guided Exhibition Tours

• Maximum of 60 students permitted per booking
• Allow 45mins (30 mins for tour and 15mins additional in the space)
• Self-directed activity sheets are available for your group
• School bags are not permitted in the exhibition space. Where possible please leave on the bus or utilise MAC yapang cloaking facilities.
• Bookings must be made a minimum of 8 days in advance

Self-guided exhibition tour

• Maximum of 30 students permitted per booking
• Allow 45mins for your visit
• Self-directed activity sheets are available for your group
• School bags are not permitted in the exhibition space. Where possible please leave on the bus or utilise MAC yapang cloaking facilities
• Bookings must be made a minimum of 4 days in advance
  
  Art Making Workshops:

First Class guided practical artmaking workshops for years 10, 11 and 12 students are available on select Fridays only.

Exploring our Identity - Collage/Mixed-Media Workshops

• 2 hour workshop from 9.30 – 11.30 am
• Fridays in March (7th, 14th, 21st and 28th)

• Bookings are available from Tuesday to Thursday at set times
• To assist in planning please advise at the time of booking if your students will be attending cafe. We ask teachers to assist in managing the number of students ordering to no more than 10 at any one time. The MAC terrace will be available to your students as a breakout space during your booking time.
