Next date: Monday, 10 June 2024 | 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM

Join Lake Macquarie artist Kathryn deBoer as she demonstrates the materials and techniques she uses to create her beautiful flower paintings

Working in acrylics, Kathryn uses her brushstrokes to capture the colour and textures of native flower arrangements. Taking inspiration from bridal flowers, her colours are sometimes soft and delicate, or luscious and vibrant. Kathryn loves taking the viewer deep into the blooms, bringing out the subtle colours of petals and leaves.

Kathryn also takes inspiration from her lake home, and has several paintings of lakescapes – so join us at Wangi Library Creative Hub to relax and paint with artist Kathryn deBoer as you take in the beautiful lake views of Wangi Wangi Bay.

In this workshop you will be given tools, materials, and the guiding advice of a long practicing artist to create your own beautiful floral painting.
