Lake Mac GLAM – Cultural Tourism: Putting Arts and Culture on the Map

Next date: Tuesday, 22 October 2024 | 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM

Putting arts and culture on the map
This one-day symposium will explore the impact of art and cultural experiences across the tourism industry.

Cultural Tourism is in the spotlight with the release of Creative Communities, the NSW Arts, Culture and Creative Industries Policy.

The policy aims to grow national and international audiences, drawing on diverse cultural experiences, art forms, and local initiatives. As a part of this ambition, NSW tourism will increase its focus on cultural experiences, including festivals and First Nations cultural tourism.

The event will explore:

  • Re-positioning culture: it’s about the destination, not the Journey
  • First Nations Culture: celebrating and sharing First Nations Culture in our regions
  • Public Art as a destination offering
  • Opening doors: Access and inclusion for cultural experiences

Ticketing information:

$70 professional (plus booking fee)

$50 volunteer/student (plus booking fee)

Triple the GLAM: Professional $190 (save $20), volunteer $140 (save $10)

Please note: The three sessions can be purchased as a package, but can be attended by different representatives from your organisation. Names and dietary requirements of attendees can be provided closer to the date.
