'Wizard of Oz' musical in a week

Join the Hive Musical Theatre Performers for a fun filled week in the Land of Oz. We will be following the Yellow Brick Road to the Warners Bay Theatre, baramayiba for a week filled with high energy performance workshops and activities.

At the end of the week the students will get to showcase their talents with a 30-minute Wizard of Oz Musical Theatre concert for families to enjoy. 

This workshop is designed to grow students’ skills in singing, acting and performance and is perfectly suited to students who have a high interest in performing in musicals.

Each day young performers will

• learn the choreography to a new song – building up to 5 songs for the end of week show.
• Participate in vocal workshops, including two options:
  a) solo voice workshop option (for those interested), or
  b) group voice workshops
• Learn and improve your acting skills for musical theatre shows, through character games, musical scenes and short scripts

Over the week, students will also enjoy a costume design and lighting design workshop, contributing their ideas to our end of week performance.

No experience necessary. Suitable for 7-16 yrs (students will work in small groups by age).

5 days Monday to Friday: $399
4 days Tuesday to Friday: $350
3 days Wednesday to Friday: $280

All students will perform in the Friday concert; however, students who attend the full week will be featured in more songs.
