Lake Macquarie One Act Play Festival

One Act Play Festival branded

The Lake Macquarie One Act Play Festival is back in 2024.

After a successful debut in 2023 the One Act Play Festival returned to Warners Bay Theatre on Saturday 6 April 2024.

The Lake Macquarie One Act Play Festival is a theatre competition showcasing short, sharp and original one-act plays. The festival aims to encourage and foster local and regional playwrights and performers while generating interest from state and national artists, bringing the best of established and amateur theatre to the Lake Macquarie stage. The One Act Play Festival plays will explore our society through story and performance, develop the skills and expertise of playwrights (script writing) and performers (stagecraft), and build a community of performing arts creatives within Lake Macquarie.
