The Lake Macquarie One Act Play Festival returns in 2026.

The Lake Macquarie One Act Play Festival returns to Warners Bay Theatre on Saturday 28 March 2026.

The Lake Macquarie One Act Play Festival is a theatre competition showcasing short, sharp and exhilarating one-act plays from Lake Macquarie and beyond. 

The Festival aims to bring together local, state and national playwrights and performers to develop and strengthen the skills and experience of performing artists within Lake Macquarie.

Featuring plays that explore our society through story and performance, the Festival will bring the best of established and amateur theatre to the Lake Macquarie stage.
