2024 is the Chinese Lunar year of the Dragon
This exhibition will feature 20 paintings that show the power and charm of this most important mythical creature in the Chinese lexicon.
The Year of the Dragon started on the 10th of February 2024 with exuberant celebration worldwide to mark the start of the Lunar Calendar. There is a 12-year lunar year cycle with each year represented by an animal. Those born in the year of the dragon are said to exemplify the characteristics of the dragon - ambitious, confident, energetic, enthusiastic, and charismatic. They possess both intelligence and power and are said to be naturally lucky.
These characteristics are all visible in the strong and colourful paintings of Stephen Cassettari.
