HMS Pinafore or The Lass That Loved a Sailor is a two-act operetta and the fourth comic opera by the incomparable team of W.S. Gilbert, librettist, and Arthur Sullivan, composer.
Originally staged in 1878, it lampoon’s British society of the 19th Century, especially the British class system. The music never fails to delight audiences!
The production is direct by Stewart McGowan and designed by his partner Robin Greenwell, the team that successfully produced Hunter Opera's Carmen in July 2024.
