Hayley McLachlan
A brand-new art studio has opened up in Morisset, managed by award winning artist Hayley McLachlan. Hayley began her art journey as a child drawing cartoon characters which merged into learning to draw horses, and onto developing a passion for painting and drawing a large variety of subjects, but her true passion lies in wildlife art. Hayley primarily works with Pencils, Acrylics and Oil Paints. Since arriving on the professional art scene in 2005, Hayley has worked hard to capture and intrigue the art community.
She gathers much of her inspiration from personal experiences, the environment and Nature. Even though Hayley began creating primarily for herself, she is proud to say that her work has been well received by buyers and critics alike. She has also won many awards at shows in the Lake Macquarie and Hunter region and won the Faber-Castell Colour 4 Life 2021 competition. This gave her the opportunity to become an ambassador for Faber-Castell Australia. Hayley's art studio is open by appointment to browse, purchase or simply meet and greet, she enjoys sharing her art with the public and meeting new people. If you see her sign out the front, feel free to drop in and say “Hi”.
The studio is open Wednesdays 10:00am - 2:00pm when Hayley also offers art classes at this time. These classes cost only $30 per class and are open for Acrylic, Oil paints or Pencil work, bring along what you are working on + your art materials and Hayley will offer help with any aspects you may be having trouble with. This is also a great opportunity to connect and meet like-minded fellow artists. Please book by contacting Hayley as spaces are limited.
