Helen Smith
Helen uses fibres and yarns to interpret the colours and textures of the natural world when creating her works. A life-long love of working with yarns and fibres has seen her explore most practices including knitting, crocheting, sewing and embroidery. Her current passion is spinning and weaving.
Helen prepares and spins natural fibres including, wool, alpaca and other exotic breeds to knit, weave and /or sew garments and useful items. These yarns are often combined with commercial yarns to create the desired colour or texture.
