Janet De Vries

Janet began her art journey thirty plus years ago when she took early retirement from teaching.she began with watercolour and pastel and now works with acrylic on canvas. Janet always had a passion for creating but no time as she worked and raised her family. She began with a local art class and went to many art courses with amazing tutors until she found the style that suited her. Janet paints realism with interpretation. She loves reflections on water and paints many water scenes particularly local scenes that are significant to her. She also enjoys painting cottages and also find inspiration in nature. Janet has sold many paintings and received many awards and is always looking forward to the next challenge.

Janet uses acrylic on canvases. The canvases are well prepared to enable the painting style. Janet works mainly from photographs she has taken.
