Jayne Pinkerton-Frost

Jayne lives in the Lake Macquarie Village of Wangi Wangi and was born and bred in the Newcastle suburb of Merewether. She has been a prolific creator of art from an early age being introduced to art by her artist mother.
Always wanting to develop her creative ability, Jayne went on to complete a 'Bachelor of Visual Arts' and a 'Graduate Diploma in Art Education' and subsequently went on teaching art and continuing on with her own art.
Jayne's artworks are semi-abstract reflections of her surroundings, recent artworks are inspired by Lake Macquarie, local beaches and iconic landmarks such as Nobby's Lighthouse.
She has had exhibited in several regional galleries such as Lake Macquarie Regional Art Gallery, Lindsay Street gallery Hamilton, Watt Space and Maitland Art Gallery.
Jayne favourite mediums are oil pastels, acrylic paint, watercolour, alcohol Inks, oil paint and mixed media.
Jaynes dream of opening a teaching space of her own was realised in 2018 when she opened the ‘JP Frost Studio’ Wangi Wangi, where she conducts workshops and art classes.
