Miriam was born in the Netherlands and migrated to Australia as a teenager. She has always been a creative person, having been a professional harpist for 40 years. Since retiring she has focused on art. Miriam loves colour in all her art practices. Both her paintings and jewelry reflect this love of colour. Miriam's preferred medium in her paintings is acrylic ink which creates the vibrancy that is evident in her work. Miriam uses polymer clay, and wire in her unique jewelry pieces.
