Kerrie Swan
My Art Practice really began after retiring from Teaching. I am very fortunate to frequently travel our amazing country in our van, finding endless inspiration along the way.
I have always lived close to the ocean so there is no surprise that my works are often related, revealing my emotionally connection to it and its inhabitants. Travel has also allowed me many opportunities to explore our reefs and a deep passion for conservation has developed.
Inks, acrylics and watercolours allow me to create movement and to paint spontaneously. Every work is unique as it just evolves! I use vibrant colour to express the emotions I experience. I love experimenting and learning and am presently having fun with abstracts and collage.
My art supports animal conservation and I am very involved with 2 organisations fighting poaching in Africa as well as our local Wildlife Rescue.
I am extremely grateful to have my art hanging in many private homes overseas and within Australia. My art is also on display in Ocean Blue Gallery in Belmont.
