I am a professional Craftsman and Designer. A High School hobby became my occupation. In the late 80's after my first foray with a shop in Newcastle I moved to Sydney studying Shoe Making and Art/Drawing, then re launching my work with new designs. I was one of the first awarded a "Craftmark" by the Australian Craft Council and through their events sent work to German Design Fairs and took work to San Francisco Gift Fair. Becoming involved too in sending other Craftspeople to the US, in a venture with Austrade between 2000 and 2005. I also researched Design and Trade fairs in Italy and set up a purpose built studio in 2006. Its an exciting time for Leather Design which keeps me stimulated busy making new work.
