Augmented reality workshop at MAP mima
Over three Thursdays, participants will learn to use a number of tools and collaborate on an augmented reality (AR) project for the Multi-Arts Pavilion, mima (MAP mima).
The project aims to create a mobile phone-based AR experience that responds to a story of place embedded in the brickwork of the arts pavilion. This brickwork forms the public artwork Awaba _ Salt Water Lake by Claire Lavis and Kira Jovanovski which is integrated in the north wall of MAP mima.
The workshop will be led by Tim Davidson of Virtual Reality Extended Reality Augmented Reality and 3D Animation Consulting Services (VEARA). It will be held on site at MAP mima in Lake Macquarie City (Awabakal Country) and is open to students as well as artists, designers and creative workers.
