Are you a creative who would like the opportunity to try something different? We are looking for unique designs to be created into a lighting display for our Float Your Boat Flotilla.

You don’t need experience with lights. We will supply the illumination materials, as well as an electrician to support your creative concept and design for this fun and unique project.

Write Here Festival and the Multi-Arts Pavilion, mima (MAP mima) are excited to invite school-aged children to participate in a unique creative exhibition!

Young poets are encouraged to write a haiku - a short, three-line poem inspired by nature, emotions, or personal reflections. The challenge doesn't stop there! Participants will also create a visual representation of their haiku to be displayed in our immersive 360-degree projection cube.

Details:

• Open to school-aged children aged 8-18 years
• Write an original haiku (following the 5-7-5 syllable structure)
• Create a visualisation to accompany the haiku
• Both the poem and visualisation will be displayed together in the Haiku digital exhibition viewing at MAP mima on Saturday 17 May.

The Multi-Arts Pavilion, mima (MAP mima) is seeking proposals for immersive and interactive artworks that transform its 360° projection space into a celestial experience.

This commission invites artists to explore themes of stargazing, cosmic wonder, and the vastness of the universe through innovative digital storytelling.

MAP mima invites artists to submit expressions of interest for immersive projection artworks that transform the Cube into a portal to the stars, creating awe-inspiring and otherworldly experiences for audiences. Whether submitting an exhibition-ready project or a proposal for development, artists are encouraged to explore themes of celestial navigation, cosmic landscapes, and the mysteries of the night sky.

Details:

• National and international artists and/or artist teams welcome to express interest
• Council is offering a commission with a total budget of $5,000 plus GST towards the creation, development and production of a new work for the Cube.

The Multi-Arts Pavilion, mima (MAP mima) is inviting applications for immersive and interactive artworks for its 360° projection space.

We are seeking expressions of interest for immersive projection artworks that engage with the Cube and create unique experiences for audiences. Artists can apply with exhibition-ready projects or proposals to develop work. We are interested in artists who wish to extend their practice by gaining skills with projection, light and sound installation.

Artists are invited to express interest by submitting information about their art practice, how they would approach the possibilities of MAP mima, and examples of previous work and experience.

The yapang Arts Placement at the Museum of Art and Culture, yapang is a pathway for First Nations creatives into the arts.

Lake Macquarie City Council offers support for curatorial projects, public programs, arts education, digital arts, documentation, design and marketing. Your placement can focus on an area of interest or enable you to explore various aspects of arts.

Launchpad is an engaging exhibition program for local creatives to showcase their works to the community. 

The exhibition is held across five Lake Mac Libraries branches - Belmont, Toronto, Charlestown, Wangi and Swansea, providing a space for students, emerging artists and community art groups to present their works for public viewing.

Applications will be considered by Launchpad@Lake Mac Libraries that best reflect the objectives of the program.
