Goya Torres

Goya Torres mural at MAP mima

Explore Goya Torres' newest mural at the Multi-Arts Pavilion, mima.

Painted by Torres in April, her mural brightens up the forecourt and entices you to explore her work and the surrounding landscape.

"Since the beginning of my street-art career I have painted portraits of children with their spiritual animal carried on their shoulders, symbolising the important relationship we have with nature and our environment through colour, innocence and kindness. These pieces have endemic animals and vegetation from the area represented. The characters become a stewardship of nature, each representing the different cultures and social diversity from each city. This theme has allowed me to be recognised nationally and internationally as well as connecting with the local people and leave a piece of art behind for years to come." Goya Torres.
