Jo says: "The materiality of the natural landscape is in a constant state of flow: a continuum of becoming and unpredictability. Glass is about flow. It has an atomic structure of a fluid at room temperature. In the glass fusing process, glass and glass powders are layered; fused, formed, deformed and slumped, undergo chemical reactions, and sandblasted. To me, these processes reflect landforms and topography in a state of change and metamorphosis. My love of the raw landscapes of the Australian desert as well as the Channel Country inspire most of my works.”
